Re-think
Wait! Hold the gorgeous vegan phone! Oprah does indeed mention cruelty to animals as being a reason for her vegan endeavours. This is truly, absolutely amazing. Can you even imagine the reach that Oprah has? The amount of people that are introduced to ideas by her thoughts and her actions? This is fantastic! Let's not waste this opportunity! Go here and tell Oprah now about your vegan life and thank her for bringing this issue to light. YAY!

I think it is great that Oprah is trying out Veganism. My only hope is that it has such an impact that she stays vegan. I think that it was hypocritical of her to have a show on puppy mills and how awful that is and not mention veganism or acknowledge that farmed animals go through the same thing and worse.
Even if she doesn't stay vegan, though, I know some of the people she reaches will stay vegan.
I know that she had a huge impact when she gave up beef; it prompted many others to do the same. So I can only hope her quick vegan "vacation" will spark others to make the change for good (or at least look into it).
